Clint Cain is the founder and director of Great Nature Oriental Medicine. He is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the practice of both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, having completed over 3500 hours of graduate-level training in traditional acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Oriental medical bodywork, self-cultivation exercises, and biomedicine; as well as over 1200 hours of hands-on, clinical training. Clint began his advanced education at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in Chicago. There, he received a strong foundation in the fundamentals and history of Chinese medical theory, acupuncture therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine. He went on to earn his Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College (SWAC) in Boulder, CO. Clint has lived and practiced Chinese herbal medicine in Ohio since early 2019.

MORE ABOUT CLINT
From early on in his life, Clint has been guided by an inherent fascination with the cultures of the Far East, especially Japan. This led him to begin practicing Zen Buddhist meditation and traditional martial arts at the age of 15. During his undergraduate education, he discovered in his selection of classes each semester a three-part recurring theme focused on Eastern civilization and history, and world history; Eastern and Western philosophy; and human anatomy and physiology, and biology. He somehow sensed that a career as an acupuncturist could merge of all these deep interests with the most significant work of Self-realization.
When he is not in clinic, Clint can likely be found practicing the Japanese martial art of Aikido, an art which deeply influences his work as an herbalist, and vice versa. He enjoys spending time with his wife, working on projects around their home, gardening, attending car shows and drag racing events, cooking and baking, traveling, and of course, giving as much love and attention as possible to their sweet Bernese Mountain Dog, Blossom.
